High School Bible Class and Events
Sunday at 10:15 am in the Youth Room
This year students will explore Biblical truths as we discuss topical issues. Students are also encouraged to participate in group events, volunteer activities and to use the Fellowship Hall during high school open gym.

We meet each Sunday at 10:15 am to discuss topical issue and explore how the truth of God's word provides us with the knowledge and strength to face these challenges.
In September our topic was:
"Loving my neighbor when we disagree, when we sin and when you are(n't) popular. We learned that God asks us to remain humble in our interactions with others, that popularity doesn't matter when we find our identity in Christ, and that we are ALL in need of a savior (which is important to remember when trying to understand someone else's motivations and actions). Our discussions were constructive, thoughtful and honest. A big thank you to our students for their participation and to "Higher Things" for their curriculum.
In October, we'll explore what God has to say about our mental health. Spoiler alert - He cares!

High School Bible Study—Rock Climbing Sunday
October 6 from 10:30—2:30 pm
We’re taking our class outside and heading to the bluffs! Bring comfortable clothing and shoes (tennis shoes work well), water/snack and a lawn chair to sit on. We’ll leave Shepherd of the Hills around 10:30 am then grab lunch following our climbing session and object lesson. Students are not required to climb but are encouraged to join us and cheer others on. This event is free for Shepherd of the Hills students. (Guests are welcome but ar responsible for buying their own lunch.) For transportation purposes, please confirm with Martha Keeffe by Wednesday, October 2 by 2:00 pm. Release forms must also be completed by October 6 and can be obtained by contacting Martha.
(We will be climbing in a designated climbing area which is located east of Grandad’s Bluff. We WILL NOT be climbing on Grandad’s Bluff!)
