Mrs. Alyssa Mitchell, Director and Teacher
Hi, my name is Alyssa Mitchell. This is my first year at Shepherd’s Flock. This year I am teaching on each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as well as serving as the Education Director!

I am very excited to be joining the staff here at Shepherd’s Flock. I am so grateful that God has called me to this position. Shepherd’s Flock has been a part of my life since high school when I would volunteer with my mom, Kathy, on days off from school. It was my time spent at preschool that led me to pursue a degree in education! I graduated college in 2014 with a degree in special education. Since then, I’ve spent most of my time working in public schools. I taught middle school special education for 4 years and worked the rest of the time in the preschool setting, both in special and general education classrooms. God has led our family back to my hometown and our family is so happy to be here. Our family recently moved back to the Onalaska area in May from Minnesota. My husband, Paul, and I have been married for 9 years and we have a 1 year old daughter, Noa. I have loved getting to know the preschoolers, their families and the members of Shepherd of the Hills this year.

Mrs. Kathy Koblitz, Business Director and Teacher
Hello, my name is Kathy Koblitz and I am one of the teachers at Shepherd’s Flock! It’s hard to believe that this year is my 16th year teaching in the preschool! This year, I teach Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings and work in the office on Tuesday mornings. In addition to teaching, I also work as the Business Director of the preschool.

I love being a part of Shepherd’s Flock and this program. Jordan, one of my sons, attended Shepherd’s Flock from 2000 –2002! It has been so fun watching this program grow and develop over the years! God has truly blessed us! Shepherd’s Flock has been a pivotal piece of my family’s story for the last many, many years!

One of my favorite parts of our preschool day is our “Jesus Time” when we share stories from the Bible and talk about God’s love for us! In past years, we have hosted a spaghetti dinner fundraiser and held programs in the sanctuary. These are some of my favorite memories from throughout the years! I just love how they bring our preschool families, the congregation and our community together.

I love the safe, inviting environment that our teachers have worked so hard to create for our students.   The kids are the best part of my day and I’m just so grateful that I get to be a part of their stories!

Mrs. Beth Dix, Teacher
My name is Beth Dix and I'm blessed to be able to teach preschool on Thursdays this year! This is my third-year teaching at Shepherd’s Flock. My first year was 2006-2007. (The thirteen years between then and now brought three wonderful babies into my life).

I enjoy teaching kids about Jesus everyday—how much He loves them, cares for them, and how He has made each one of them special and unique! The children have opportunities to hear the Gospel at our Jesus time daily, snack time prayers and conversation, and when we have chapel every other week with Pastor Baumgarn.

Being able to teach the next generation about our Lord is priceless, and there is no higher calling. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
